Annual Essential Safety Measures Report (AESMR)

In Victoria all buildings must be maintained in line with the Victorian Building Regulations. These Regulations mandate that owners of a building must provide an Annual Essential Safety Measures Report (AESMR) every 12 months.

The AESMR:

  • outlines the essential safety measures in the building as per the items listed in the building’s Occupancy Permit; and

  • can be relied upon to demonstrate that the owner has taken all reasonable steps to ensure that each Essential Safety Measure is being maintained as required.

ESM Melbourne can:

  • prepare and provide a certified AESMR; and

  • conduct a comprehensive audit of Essential Safety Measures.
